As my xfx 790i ultra(nvidia chipset) is giving me a lot of problems with a sapphire hd 5970 (sapphire's tech support , as well the local company's tech support and I , got the conclusion that I need a new motherboard without nvidia chipset, as they said that the issue I am having is caused by the 790i ultra nvidia chipset.
The thing here is that I need a motherboard for socket 775 (I have a Q6600) and I would like to overclock the Q6600. I have 4 modules of 2GB (8GB total) DDR3 Corsair that can run at 1600mhz.
And of course , the motherboard should work with the HD 5970 without giving problems witht he chipset etc.
Long time ago I had an Asus motherboard that worked perfectly for about 6 years without problems, so I would prefer an Asus motherboard.
Got my refund (of the HD 5970) as the issue can be motherboard incompatible or RAM , what ever. SO I will stay with my old 9800gx2, and wait for nvidia new releases on march.
